calculated life of an urban city…..

I wrote this poem after witnessing the monotonous life of a city. As an urban resident, I come across and follow the same routine; devoid of any innate pleasure and naturalness. How we all have forgotten how to appreciate and live along with the nature. How we have become a patronizer of “brands and consumerist culture”, but unfortunately have forgotten how to react while coming across a beautiful butterfly , a fascinating firefly , or while watching the constantly changing hue of the sky. We have forgotten the pleasure of taking a nap under a tree, and have also forgotten how to admire a star spangled sky. Birds don’t sing anymore, because we have computers and cell phones to keep our mind occupied. I just secire for my beloved’s arm and a small hut in the lap of nature. How i wish for a life away from all gadgets and technologies.
